Abstract
Modern technologies in the field of seismic exploration have significantly transformed approaches to conducting field work and processing data in the office. One of the parameters traditionally considered to be key is the optimal depth of the source and receiver [Kalinin et al., 1983]. However, modern advances in hardware and software algorithms allow in some cases to abandon strict adherence to the generally accepted methods. This article discusses the reasons for these changes and the importance of the depth parameter required for successful work.
