Эти находки уточняют сведения о  таксономии, географическом распространении аммонитов и  подтверждают существование тесной связи крымского палеобассейна с палеобассейнами Западного Средиземноморья. </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the Lower Cretaceous reference section in the vicinity of the village of Verkhorechye (Bakhchisaray district, Republic of Crimea), rare ammonites were found: upper Valanginian Himantoceras lessinianum Faraoni et al. and Valanginian-lower Hauterivian Olcostephanus densicostatus (Wegner).
